Fine Alterations & Custom Tailoring
If you purchased your wedding dress, formal gown, or tuxedo/suit/ men's formal wear at other places, we would be happy to help you with fine alterations and adjustments of your garment in short period of time in our atelier. You will have your fittings exclusively with fashion designer Alesia at her fashion house and boutique-atelier, located in the heart of gorgeous square of Lake Forest, Illinois.
What do we enjoy about the custom work we do?
Each custom-designed bridal or formal gown is a unique cohesion of the client's wishes and personality. Our passion and knowledge of couture craftsmanship, best-quality fabrics, hand beading, and embroidery always embrace our innovative and original designs.
At an initial fitting consultation, we would love to listen your inspiration, ideas, the venue, and the mood of your wedding or special occasion. From the beginning, the client will be involved in design of their wedding, formal gown, or other custom-designed garments by choosing suitable fabric, color, style and trying on similar type of gowns available from Alesia C.'s exclusive collections at our boutique.
You would be provided with initial pencil sketches, artwork, and fabric samples to work towards a final design and cost of the garment. Once finalized the pencil sketch, we take all the necessary measurements, and a toile or test garment is then made as a mock-up to perfect fit and refine the style on the body.
OUR CUSTOM DESIGNED MADE-TO-MEASURE SERVICE includes:
- Toile fit - we cut a pattern to your measurements, then make it up in a cotton fabric. You will be invited to our atelier to fit the toile; any adjustments will be made to your pattern before the wedding, or a formal gown cut in your chosen unique fabric.
Once your gown is made in your choice of fabric, you will have your first fitting. Most cases will take place around 1-2 months before your wedding or special occasion day. The gown will be adjusted to the correct length, and any minor alterations will be done for a perfect fit before you will pick up your dress. You can have the final fitting two weeks before your event day to ensure it fits the best. With all fittings, we will be happy to accommodate your schedule.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service?
Yes. And that means if you would like to choose a bridal, evening, bridesmaid, or flower girl dress from Alesia C. boutique's current collections with standard prices. But we can give our clients a custom quote based on the details for your designed gown or garment.
Price range:
Our custom-designed bridal or formal gown prices range from $500 - $5,000 for a made-to-measure gown. When making a custom gown, we can give a quote once we know all the work involved.
A rush order service is also available if your wedding or special occasion comes in two months, so please do not hesitate to contact us. Evening and weekend appointments are available.

Did you think it was not possible? We were able to design and create the fit-and-flare couture wedding gown for our beautiful bride Taylor in 8 weeks from scratch. She looked so gorgeous in her dream custom wedding gown, and she loved it! Couture wedding gown by fashion designer Alesia Chaika created at our atelier in Lake Forest, Illinois as a made-to-measure with a unique baroque pattern hand-placed lace appliques and beaded over the custom tailored gown. Designed with built-in corset bodice made of lace and bridal satin with soft luxurious lining, V-neckline and low open back style. We added gorgeous cathedral train with matching corded baroque lace hand-beaded all over and created bustle-up for comfortable move wile Taylor walks or dance.
